"No fair. I want to be an analyst."
"Don't worry. We need all the analysists we can get."
―The student and Undersecretary Fara, c. 9 ABY[1]

A human youngling attended At Attin Middle School Gamma during the New Republic Era.[1]

Around 9 ABY,[2] they were in class during Undersecretary Fara's visit, an At Attin's government official who discussed the Career Assessment Test scheduled for the following day. When asked about how they wanted to contribute to the Great Work, the human youngling along with several other children raised their hands. After an Ithorian classmate of theirs said they wanted to be an analyst, the human schoolchild—who had held their hand raised long before—protested, nervously arguing that the analyst was the career that they wanted to pursue. In light of increasing tension, Undersecretary Fara placated the human child by noticing that At Attin needed as many analysts as possible.[1]

The child was a stout human youngling with dark skin and brown, puffy hair. As a student of An At Attin Middle School Gamma, they were dressed in a beige uniform. In addition, they possessed passive knowledge of Ithorese.[1]

Behind the scenes

The youngling debuted in "This Could Be a Real Adventure,"[1] the first episode of the live-action television series Star Wars: Skeleton Crew that premiered on December 2, 2024 on Disney+.[3] The character was portrayed by Esai Daniel Cross.[1]

  2. Star Wars: Timelines dates the events of "Chapter 1: The Mandalorian" of The Mandalorian Season One to 9 ABY. In addition, SWInsider "A Certain Point of View" — Star Wars Insider 228 also dates "Part Seven: Dreams and Madness" to nine years after the events of Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope, which corresponds to 9 ABY per Timelines. "Part Seven: Dreams and Madness" takes place after the conflict on Mandalore, which is the main event depicted in "Chapter 23: The Spies" and "Chapter 24: The Return," the final two episodes of The Mandalorian Season Three. Therefore, Seasons One through Three of Star Wars: The Mandalorian must all be set in 9 ABY as well. StarWars.com SWCA 2022: 20 Highlights from Lucasfilm's Studio Showcase on StarWars.com (backup link) states that Star Wars: Skeleton Crew takes place in the same timeframe as Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Star Wars: Ahsoka—the latter of which can also be dated to 9 ABY following the reasoning here. As such, Skeleton Crew must take place around 9 ABY as well.
