A human girl lived during the High Republic Era.[1] At one point by 382 BBY,[2] she was present in the market of the town Ferdan on the Outer Rim planet Dalna with her father. While in the market, the girl encountered the Evereni female Path of the Open Hand cult member Marda Ro who was giving out flowers. Ro gave the girl a flower and in return she kissed the Evereni on the cheek as a "gift freely given." As the Evereni turned her face to kiss the corner of the girl's mouth, her father dragged her away, citing anti-Path and anti-Evereni sentiment.[1] That year,[2] after Ro had kissed the Pantoran Jedi Padawan Kevmo Zink, she mentally recalled the only other time she had been kissed—the human girl in the Ferdan market—and noted that the kiss had not been as sweet as her kiss with Zink.[1]
Behind the scenes
The human girl was mentioned in the 2022 young-adult novel The High Republic: Path of Deceit, written by Justina Ireland and Tessa Gratton as part of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project's[1] Phase II.[3] Within the novel, the girl was mentioned in a chapter written by Gratton.[4]
