The title of this article is conjectural.

Although this article is based on official information from the Star Wars Legends continuity, the actual name of this subject is pure conjecture.

"Tch. Tch. Zssss. Memory fails. Since lost sixsister of hive mind, much less RAM, memory very poor."
―A member of the species, attempting to have Roark Garnet pay them for information[1]

A species of sentient grasshopper-like beings produced sound and speech by rubbing together their legs. Members of the species shared several bodies via single hive mind. During the Galactic Civil War, one such alien worked as a bartender and at one point sold information to the smuggler Roark Garnet.

Biology and appearance

A species of sentient beings had bodies of[1] the size and[2] visual appearance of grasshoppers. They produced sound by rubbing together their legs, with speech thus produced having an audial quality of a violin concerto. In addition, one member of the species was able to kick plastic credit tokens with the speed of a turbolaser being fired.[1] Members of the species displayed hive intelligence,[2] with several bodies sharing the same consciousness—an arrangement that allowed for efficient cooperation in performing various tasks.[1]

Society and culture

The aliens identified as belonging to at least one—female—gender.[1]

The species in the galaxy

"Tch. Yesss. Farseeker herenow seven hours since gone. With large tentacled alien of model unknown to me…"
―The alien bartender[1]
Roark Garnet once bought both a beverage and information from a member of the species.

Roark Garnet once bought both a beverage and information from a member of the species.

During the Galactic Civil War between the Galactic Empire and the Rebel Alliance, one Basic-speaking member of the species—consisting of at least three individuals linked through a hive-mind—worked as a bartender. At one point, the Human smuggler Roark Garnet ordered a beverage at the establishment where the bartender worked and, observing with fascination the alien entities' coordinated movements, asked them for information on the whereabouts of the retired Imperial captain Jackson Farseeker.[1]

The bartender claimed that, ever since losing their hive mind's "sixsister," their memory had become impaired, which prompted Garnet to correctly guess that giving the being an amount of credits would persuade them to share information with him. The bartender then relayed to the smuggler that they had seen Farseeker depart in the company of a tentacled alien.[1]

Behind the scenes

The species was first mentioned in the 1987 rulebook for the first edition of West End Games' Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game.[1]
