A female duchess of[1] the Mid Rim planet[2] Malastare had a father who waged a number of vicious wars and a daughter who became a Dark Jedi. By the time Jedi Padawan Qui-Gon Jinn began studying the holocron of prophecy[1] in 67 BBY,[3] the duchess was considered ancient among members of the Jedi Order.[1] Around that year,[3] Jinn contemplated the duchess's familial connections and felt that they may have fulfilled an ancient Jedi prophecy about a woman who was born into and gave birth to darkness.[1]

Behind the scenes

The duchess was mentioned in a flashback in Master & Apprentice, a 2019 novel written by Claudia Gray.[1]
