A Dark Jedi was the daughter of a duchess of[1] the Mid Rim planet[2] Malastare. By the time Jedi Padawan Qui-Gon Jinn began studying the holocron of prophecy[1] in 67 BBY,[3] members of the Jedi Order considered the Dark Jedi ancient.[1] Around that year,[3] Jinn thought about the Dark Jedi's mother and considered their familial connections, including the daughter. The Padawan then concluded that the Dark Jedi's family may have fulfilled an ancient Jedi prophecy about a woman who was born into and gave birth to darkness.[1]

Behind the scenes

The Dark Jedi was mentioned in a flashback in Master & Apprentice, a 2019 novel written by Claudia Gray.[1]
