The father of a duchess serving[1] the Mid Rim planet[2] Malastare waged a number of wars. By the time Jedi Padawan Qui-Gon Jinn began studying the holocron of prophecy[1] in 67 BBY,[3] the duchess's father was considered ancient among members of the Jedi Order.[1] Around that year,[3] Jinn contemplated the duchess's familial connections—including the father's involvement in wars—and felt that their family might have fulfilled an ancient Jedi prophecy about a woman who was born into and gave birth to darkness.[1]

Behind the scenes

The duchess's father was mentioned in a flashback in Master & Apprentice, a 2019 novel written by Claudia Gray.[1]
