"Bandits—they've been hiding in a deserted village across the mountain."
―The teahouse shopkeep[1]

A deserted village was located across a mountain on the Outer Rim Territories planet Genbara. It was one of four villages in the area, out of which only one remained inhabited twenty years after the Sith rebellion, a doing attributed by a local woodcutter to a spirit who did not take kindly to settlers in the area. The woodcutter, who relayed the aforementioned hearsay to the former Sith known as the Ronin and his companion astromech droid R5-D56, instructed the two regarding the path into the mountains.[1]

After their hike through the mountains, the pair came upon Tono's Teahouse, a shop ran by a Sullustan shopkeep. When Bandit Troopers—former soldiers who fought in the war[1]invaded the village in the valley onboard their Troop Transport Tank, the old Sullustan told the Ronin that the thugs used an abandoned outpost[2] in the deserted village as a hideout.[1]

Behind the scenes

The deserted village was mentioned in the 2021 non-canon novel Ronin: A Visions Novel, written by Emma Mieko Candon.[1]
