A Sullustan teahouse shopkeep lived in a village[1] located ön planet Genbara in the Outer Rim Territories.[2] The village was attacked by Sith bandits[1] approximately two decades after the Sith rebellion against the Empire.[2]

Shortly before the Sith bandit gang attacked, a mysterious traveler known as "The Ronin" arrived at the village with an astromech droid companion R5-D56 and stayed with the teahouse shopkeeper. The shopkeeper spoke to the Ronin and B5 in the Empire's tongue[2] and Sullustese. When B5 sustained damage, Ronin asked the teahouse keeper to repair his droid before a kettle of tea boiled. After the shopkeeper repaired B5, the astromech droid launched a barrage of missiles at the bandits, helping its master defeat Kouru.[1]

Behind the scenes

"The teahouse master is one of the first characters I drew. He's based on Gonji from the tavern in the film Yojimbo."
Takashi Okazaki[3]

According to "The Duel" director Takanobu Mizuno, the shopkeep was inspired by Eijirō Tōno's character in the Akira Kurosawa film Yojimbo.[4]
