"General, there's something down here with us, and it's not seppies."
―The clone trooper pilot, to Mace Windu[3]

A clone trooper pilot served the Galactic Republic's Grand Army during the Clone Wars against the Confederacy of Independent Systems, participating in the Battle of Malastare[3] in 21 BBY.[4] During the battle, the pilot operated an AT-TE walker. Following the deployment of the Republic's new electro-proton bomb, a massive sinkhole formed, and the pilot was injured. Republic forces arrived to tend to the wounded, and as Clone Commander Ponds knelt next to the pilot, Jedi General Mace Windu arrived and asked the pilot what had happened. The pilot then alerted Windu that there was something in the sinkhole with them that was not a Separatist unit. Telling the pilot to stay calm, Windu proceeded to summon Ponds as well as clone troopers Trapper and Hawkeye to investigate, and soon discovered the massive Zillo Beast.[3]

Created on the planet Kamino as a human clone of the bounty hunter Jango Fett, the pilot stood 1.83 meters tall, had tan skin,[1] and weighed 80 kilograms.[2] The pilot wore clone pilot armor with dark markings above the visor and down the helmet's ridge, and two red Republic crest symbols lay on either side.[3]

Behind the scenes

The clone trooper pilot appeared in "The Zillo Beast,"[3] the eighteenth episode of the second season of the animated television series Star Wars: The Clone Wars, which premiered on April 9, 2010.[5]
