"I was sent here with other commandos…and quickly realized I wanted out."
―CC-5576 "Gregor"[2]

An Imperial clone commando served the Galactic Empire during the early days of the Imperial Era. As the Imperial Military planned to transition from a clone army to a conscription-based force under Project War-Mantle, this clone commando was part of a group of 50 clone commandos sent to the Imperial Base on Daro to train non-clone human soldiers as eventual replacements for clone stormtroopers. The base was infiltrated by Clone Force 99[2] in 19 BBY,[3] shortly after Clone Captain CC-5576 "Gregor" was arrested for desertion. This commando attempted to prevent the renegade clone squad from escaping through the facility's thermal exhaust port, but was inadvertently shot by a group of TK stormtroopers under his command. The commando took several blaster shots to the chest and consequently fell down the mountainside of the Daro base and to the planet's surface.[2]

History

In 19 BBY, the unidentified Imperial clone commando was stationed on the Imperial Base on Daro to serve as an instructor for the first thousand TK stormtroopers recruited by the Galactic Empire. When the rogue clones of Clone Force 99 infiltrated the facility to extract the mutinous commando CC-5576 "Gregor", the unidentified commando was patrolling the facility's halls with a squad of TK stormtroopers and was alerted to the security breach. The commando noticed that the renegade clones were attempting to escape through the facility's reactor port and reported his findings before pursuing them with his squad. As the rogue clones attempted to flee on their vessel, the Marauder, the Imperial clone commando and his squad spotted them and pinned the squad down at the end of the reactor port. As his squad continued to fire, the commando charged forward and engaged in hand-to-hand combat with the rogue clones, but was quickly disarmed and restrained. As the commando broke free, he stepped into a barrage of blaster fire from his own troopers. After sustaining several shots to the chest, the commando reeled backwards and fell down the mountainside of the Daro base screaming.[2]

Equipment

The clone commando wore Katarn-class Commando Armor and was armed with a DC-15A blaster carbine.[2]

Behind the scenes

"They're escaping through the reactor port!"
―The commando's last words[2]

The entry also establishes that they stood at a height of 1.83 meters. Since "War-Mantle" portrays this character as a clone of Jango Fett, this article assumes he shares all those characteristics except gender.
