- "It was a rescue. We heard through Takodana of a cell of resistance fighters who had been on the run after their city was destroyed by Nihil—lucky Nihil who stumbled upon them. They included one of the informers who've been providing the group with anti-scav codes…"
- ―Vernestra Rwoh, to Avar Kriss
A city became part of the Nihil pirates' Occlusion Zone region of space at some point after its formation[2] in 230 BBY,[1] stranding the city behind the Nihil's Stormwall hyperspace barrier. A resistance cell working against the Nihil used the city to operate from.[2] By 228 BBY,[1] the city had been destroyed by pirates that had come across the city by chance, forcing the resistance cell to go on the run, with them eventually becoming known to[2] the Mid Rim planet[3] Takodana,[2] where the pirate queen Maz Kanata operated.[3]
That year,[1] Takodana informed the Jedi Order about the resistance cell, and Jedi Knight Vernestra Rwoh undertook a rescue mission in Nihil space of the cell's members. After she brought them to Republic space, Rwoh informed Jedi Master Avar Kriss of the fate of the city in which the resistance cell had operated.[2]
