A bandit ambushed a human mechanic and their bantha in the Desert Valley region of the Outer Rim planet Tatooine[1] in 3 ABY.[2] During the mechanic was able to take care of the bandit and recover his blaster however fight scared the bantha who ran off into the desert.[1]

This section of the article assumes 100% game completion of Star Wars Outlaws. Any alternate stories may be noted in the "Behind the scenes" section. The events in this section may or may not have been confirmed as canon.

Later that year,[2] the mechanic met the scoundrel Kay Vess while she was passing by their farm. After telling Vess about the bandit, the mechanic offered Vess the bandit's blaster if she was able to recover the missing bantha. When Vess later returned with the bantha, the mechanic rewarded her with the recovered blaster.[1]

Behind the scenes

The bandit was mentioned as part of the "Bantha Herding" intel quest in the 2024 video game, Star Wars Outlaws developed by Massive Entertainment and published by Ubisoft. Completing the quest rewards the player with the "Patina Coating" cosmetic which they can use to customize the appearance of Kay's blaster.[1]
