- "I heard you pay off the servants so they won't snitch on you. Is that true?"
"Maybe it's true, maybe it isn't." - ―Kozmo Sundrel IV and Axel Greylark, after interacting with the Twi'lek janitor
A Twi'lek janitor was employed at Reena University[1] around 396 BBY.[2] The janitor had a daughter that needed to undergo a surgery, and as a result he was forced to ask a dean for an advance on his wages; his request was ultimately refused. A student of the university, Axel Greylark, overheard the exchange and gave the Twi'lek some of his parents' credits, which in turn gained Greylark the janitor's favor. As such, when Greylark and his fellow students Leyli Romero and Kozmo Sundrel IV attempted to pass through the university's servants' corridor, the Twi'lek janitor smiled at them and allowed them to pass. This prompted Sundrel to inquire to Greylark if he bribed the university's staff to keep them from reporting his actions; Sundrel's notion was only partly true in that Greylark had indeed paid the janitor, albeit not in an attempt to bribe him.[1]

The Twi'lek janitor appeared in "The Queen's Bloom," a short story by Zoraida Córdova in the 2023 anthology young-adult novel The High Republic: Tales of Light and Life, released as part of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project.[1]
