"It's a Savarian priest who stood up to a local crime syndicate and had his tongue cut out. Many Savarians still speak of him as a martyr, if only in whispers."
"It's a very realistic sculpture."
"Sculpture? I only collect genuine artifacts. That has been treated with a rapid fossilization process that has come in vogue among more esoteric collectors."
―Cellia Moten and Sendril Crane[1]

An individual was a priest on[1] the Outer Rim Territories planet Savareen.[4] Like others[5] of his[1] people,[5] the human[3] Savarian stood up to[1] a group of plundering mercenaries which later became the crime syndicate Crimson Dawn. In retribution the criminals cut out the tongues of all the villagers,[5] including the priest. At some point later, his still alive and conscious body was treated with a rapid fossilization process and the fossil of the his agonized face was acquired by the business woman and antiques collector Cellia Moten, who put it on a shelf in her office in her estate on Dallow. According to Moten, many Savarians still spoke of the priest as a martyr.[1] Around 18 BBY,[2] Moten showed the face to the Imperial Security Bureau agent Sendril Crane, who was pursuing the fugitive Sohi and her current companions, the rogue clones of of Clone Force 99 and the pirate Phee Genoa, but was forced to instead investigate the group's recent robbery of the Moten Estate and Cellia Moten herself. After returning to his team, Crane ordered his investigator Drand to look into reports of missing priests from Savareen.[1]
