"I would get rid of that, if I were you."
"I really don't want to stand up."
―Sabé and Tonra[1]

A Rodian lived during the Republic Era.[1] In 28 BBY,[2] the Rodian was present in the nightclub Caraveg on[1] the Core Worlds[3] planet Coruscant when the Naboo[1] man[4] Captain Tonra and former Naboo Royal Handmaiden Sabé visited the club to meet with Galactic Republic Senator Padmé Amidala.[1]

While the two waited for Amidala to arrive, the Rodian—who was barely clad—gave Tonra several not-so-subtle invitations, which resulted in him giving the captain a tube of narcotics and a suggestion that he should follow him into one of the club's darkest corners. Tonra, however, rejected the suggestion by remaining in his seat, which disappointed the Rodian. Later, as they continued to wait, Sabé informed Tonra that he should get rid of the narcotic, to which the captain responded by stating that he did not want to stand up as he was hesitant to show anything that could be interpreted by the Rodian as interest.[1]

Behind the scenes

The Rodian was mentioned in Queen's Shadow, a 2019 young-adult novel written by E. K. Johnston as the first installment in the Star Wars: Queen's Series.[1]
