Although this article is based on official information from the Star Wars Legends continuity, the actual name of this subject is pure conjecture.

An R2 unit was used by Wes Janson during a battle over Gall. It was programmed by the traitorous Viera Cheran, Chief Technician for Rogue Squadron, to take over control of Janson's X-wing fighter and shoot down Luke Skywalker. It failed, as Skywalker was able to destroy the droid and disable Janson's fighter.
