- "Break!! Break!! There's something in our path!!!"
- ―The Nihil, regarding a ship
A Pau'an pirate served within the Nihil marauder organization and piloted a hauler to and from the starship Gaze Electric during the High Republic Era. In 228 BBY, the pirate alerted the crew of the hauler to break after another ship was in their hyperspace exit path. After the crew managed to evade being destroyed and celebrated, the two humans who occupied the ship, Alys "Crash" Ongwa and Krix Kamerat, ordered the occupants to surrender. Following one pirate's death after they did not comply, Ongwa instructed Kamerat to tie up the remaining Nihil.

During the High Republic Era, a Pau'an pirate mostly transported crystals for the Nihil[1] criminal organization.[2] in a hauler to the starship Gaze Electric to maintain in making sure the Stormwall,[1] a hyperspace barrier controlled by the Nihil,[3] is kept intact.[1] In 228 BBY,[4] while exiting hyperspace, the Pau'an yelled at the crew of the hauler to break once spotting another ship straight ahead of them. As the Pau'an grasped onto the consoles of the ship, the crew accomplished in not impacting with the ship, which prompted celebration in the cockpit.[1]
As the Pau'an joined in the success, the crew was interrupted by the humans Alys "Crash" Ongwa and Krix Kamerat, who infiltrated the hauler from their ship and held the crew at gunpoint. After one crew member retaliated and was gunned down by Kamerat, Ongwa questioned if any other pirates were brave enough to attack, to which none replied. Ongwa then directed Kamerat to bind the pirates while she investigated the cargo hold of the hauler.[1]

- ↑ Star Wars: Timelines dates Starlight Beacon's destruction to 230 BBY. The implementation of the Guardian Protocols, which Star Wars: The High Republic Character Encyclopedia places in 229 BBY, took place one week after Starlight Beacon's fall according to The High Republic – Shadows of Starlight 1. As The High Republic Adventures (2023) 4 takes place one year and two weeks after the destruction of Starlight Beacon, it must be set in 228 BBY. Since the events of The High Republic Adventures (2023) 6 are set immediately following the fourth issue and depict the expansion of the Stormwall, the expansion must have taken place in the same year. Meanwhile, the events of "Tales from the Occlusion Zone: No Big Deal" include the Stormwall's expansion and also depict the start of Pikka Adren's pregnancy. A later story, "Tales from the Occlusion Zone: Sparks Fly," states that Adren is eight months pregnant during its events, indicating that it is set eight months after "No Big Deal," and therefore one year, eight months, and two weeks after the fall of Starlight Beacon. "Sparks Fly" is set during the Battle of Eriadu, an event that begins in The High Republic Adventures Phase III - The Wedding Spectacular. As
