Unidentified Nihil (Zimtok)

The title of this article is conjectural. Although this article is based on canonical information, the actual name of this subject is pure conjecture.

A humanoid individual was a member of the Nihil marauders.^[1] In 229 BBY,^[2] they were stationed at a base on the moon Astenban that the Nihil had recently occupied. Jedi Master Savina Besatrix Malagán soon arrived and used explosives to destroy the base, and then engaged the Nihil in combat afterword. As she fought, the creature Zimtok used the Force to throw a rock at a Twi'lek Nihil to assist her. Upon noticing that Zimtok was Force-sensitive, the humanoid Nihil decided to capture her to bring to the Nihil scientist Niv Drendow Apruk in hopes of receiving a promotion. Although Zimtok attempted to flee, the Nihil captured her with a net and brought her aboard a Nihil transport as the pirates retreated. Malagán attempted to rescue Zimtok, but the ship departed before she was able to, although the Banchiian Shosho stowed away on it to attempt to help. The Nihil wore a gas mask, a hood with the Eye of the Nihil insignia on it, pants, and boots.^[1]

The Nihil appeared in the third volume of the manga series Star Wars: The High Republic: The Edge of Balance, written by Daniel José Older and Shima Shinya, illustrated by Mizuki Sakakibara, and published by Viz Media^[1] on August 13, 2024, as part of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project's Phase III.^[3]
