"Give him what he wants or he'll probably murder you! Okay, great talk. Good luck!"
―The Nihil to Gavi, regarding the Warden[1]

A humanoid pirate operated as part of the Nihil marauder organization during the High Republic Era. In 228 BBY, the pirate contacted Lonisa City Nihil command on the planet Valo to alert them that "The Warden," a Nihil warlord, was heading to the planet to do a checkup and obtain numerous soldiers for an invasion he was in control of on the planet Eriadu. After being met with the human Gavi Takitaken, who was secretly a Jedi youngling and impersonating as Nihil, the pirate notified the boy about the Warden's arrival before discontinuing the conversation.

Gavi Takitaken hurries to respond to the pirate's hologram.

During the High Republic Era, a humanoid pirate served within the Nihil marauder organization.[1] In 228 BBY,[2] the pirate contacted Nihil command stationed in Lonisa City on the planet Valo via hologram to notify them about the arrival of the Nihil[1] warlord[3] known as "The Warden." The pirate, unaware that the majority of Nihil that had been stationed on Valo had been depleted a few months prior and the planet was operating under the pretense of still being occupied by the organization, was met with the human Jedi youngling Gavi Takitaken who was impersonating a Nihil. Takitaken proceeded to lie about the current status on Valo, which led the pirate to divert the conversation to inform Takitaken of the Warden's impending arrival.[1]

The pirate specified that the Warden would do an examination of the current situation on Valo along with borrowing numerous pirates to aid him with an invasion he had on[1] the planet[4] Eriadu. Takitaken, surprised by what the pirate had stated, tried to avoid the request by declaring troops were inspected thoroughly and could be sent to Eriadu from Valo without requiring pick up. However, the pirate stated the Warden arriving was a fact and that he was presently forthcoming. The pirate then expressed that failure to comply with what the Warden wanted could result in death. They then thanked Takitaken for the chat and wished[1] him[4] luck before ending the conversation to a dreaded Takitaken.[1]

Personality and traits

"That wasn't a request, it was a fact! He's already on the way!"
―The Nihil to Gavi, regarding the Warden[1]

The pirate was assertive with Gavi Takitaken after the human continued to push aside what they had to say and inform him about current situations. The pirate was also probable about outcomes that may happen and offered luck to Takitaken. They had two pointed teeth sticking out of their mouth.[1]

Equipment

The pirate wore a spiked helmet with a built-in breath mask attached to it. They wore various armor, including a bandolier with the Eye of the Nihil insignia painted on it, a cape, and fur. The pirate also wore a chain that had five bones attached to it.[1]

Behind the scenes

The pirate appeared in a hologram in the eleventh issue of the 2023 comic series Star Wars: The High Republic Adventures. The issue was written by Daniel José Older, illustrated by Caio Filipe, and published by Dark Horse Comics as part of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project's Phase III[1] on October 30, 2024.[5]
