A New Republic comm officer served on a Defender-class cruiser. The officer notified Captain Hayle about an approaching ship that was carrying "Jedi." He was killed during the attack on the Vesper.[3]

The comm officer first appeared in the first episode of the Disney+ series Ahsoka,[3] which released on August 22, 2023.[4] The comm officer was portrayed by P.J. Johal.[3]
