Hayle was a human male who served as a New Republic officer within the New Republic Defense Fleet. Holding the military rank of captain,[2] Hayle previously served in the Rebel Alliance[4] before joining its successor government where he later became the commanding officer of the Defender-class cruiser Vesper[5] transporting the captive Morgan Elsbeth. Hayle was killed by the former Jedi Baylan Skoll in his rescue of Elsbeth.[2]

Hayle first appeared in the first episode of the Disney+ series Star Wars: Ahsoka which was released on August 22, 2023. He was portrayed by Mark Rolston.[2]
