Although this article is based on canonical information, the actual name of this subject is pure conjecture.

A trade language was used by the Muun species in ancient times. The name of Mygeeto, a planet in the Outer Rim Territories, meant "gem" in the language.[1]

Behind the scenes

The Muun trade language was mentioned in the 2021 reference book Star Wars: Battles that Changed the Galaxy.[1] In the Star Wars Legends continuity, the ancient Muun tongue was introduced, albiet unnamed, in the 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas, written by Daniel Wallace and Jason Fry.[2] James Luceno's 2012 novel Darth Plagueis later explicitly named the language.[3]
