Although this article is based on canonical information, the actual name of this subject is pure conjecture.

A KX-series security droid served in the Galactic Empire during the Imperial Era.[1] Around 3 ABY,[2] the KX-series security droid was among a number of Imperial personnel who were sent to clear out the Amaxine Station on the request of Emperor Sheev Palpatine. While at the station, the droid worked with an Imperial officer, when they spotted a round device on the ground. Unaware that the device contained the Scourge, the droid picked it up and was corrupted by the Scourge. Using the droid as a vessel, the Scourge used its new body upon returning to an Imperial I-class Star Destroyer, where began the corruption of other droids aboard the Star Destroyer.[1] The Scourge corrupted a number of KX-series droids, one of which it began to carve into to make a new body for itself.[3]
