A human[1] female individual was at one point a Jedi priestess.[2] A giant statue of the Jedi was located in[1] the Great Hall[3] at the entrance of the Jedi Temple on Coruscant. It held a book in it's left hand and a ball was permanently floating above it's outstretched right arm.[1] A second statue also stood in another similar hall in the Temple.[4] A much smaller version of the statue also stood in Black Spire Outpost on Batuu next to the entrance of the Den of Antiquities of the Ithorian merchant Dok-Ondar,[5] who was an avid collector of Jedi and Sith artifacts.[6] This version was mostly identical to the one at the Temple, but had the ball directly attached to it's finger tips.[5] Izal Garsea thought the statue looked severe and reverent.[2]

Behind the scenes

The statue of the individual first appeared in the 2005 film Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith.[1] It was envisioned by concept artist Ryan Church to fill the empty space of the animatics of the Great Hall, on which Eric Carney and director George Lucas were currently working on. Afterwards it's the design was refined by Aaron McBride[7]—with concept art dated to March 12, 2004—and a painted sculpture was done by Industrial Light & Magic model shop sculptor Richard Miller.[8] A replica of the statue stands in front of the gift shop Dok-Ondar's Den of Antiquities at Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge at at both Disneyland and Disney's Hollywood Studios,[5] which first opened on May 31, 2019.[9] The 2019 spin-off novel A Crash of Fate by Zoraida Córdova then identified the individual as a Jedi priestess.[2]
