Unidentified Inquisitor (Karalle)

A Force-sensitive man served the Galactic Empire as an Inquisitor, though he was once a Jedi of the Jedi Order. As a member of the Inquisitorius—an organization tasked with killing Jedi during the Imperial Era—the Inquisitor spread rumors of the Quermian Jedi Jarea Kaela being a witch on the planet Karalle during the Galactic Civil War. The human bounty hunter Harlon Gier sought to kill Kaela after hearing the rumors. When Gier failed, the Inquisitor revealed himself to the two and prepared to kill them himself.

Biography

The Inquisitor^[1] was once a Jedi of the Jedi Order^[2]—an organization of Force-users affiliated with the Galactic Republic^[3]—and later a member of the Inquisitorius, an organization during the Imperial Era that hunted threats to the Galactic Empire and Jedi.^[4] As a member of the Inquisitorius, he was trained by^[2] Dark Lord of the Sith^[5] Darth Vader.^[2] Sometime during the Empire's reign, the Inquisitor spread rumors on the planet Karalle about Jarea Kaela—a Quermian Jedi in hiding within the planet's swamps—being a witch.^[1]

The Force-sensitive human bounty hunter Harlon Gier heard the rumors and sought to kill Kaela. The Inquisitor thought Gier and Kaela's battle would result in at least one of their deaths, but hoped for both. After the Quermian evaded the human's assault and befriended him, the Inquisitor revealed himself to the two as he emerged from the trees and removed his hood. He informed them that he was the rumormonger and of his plan for the two to kill each other. After a group of camouflaged stormtroopers entered the clearing, the Inquisitor ignited his lightsaber and relished the thought of killing Gier and Kaela himself. Gier, Kaela, and Kaela's nexu Hassi then attacked the Inquisitor and his group of stormtroopers.^[1]

The Inquisitor was a tall male individual with an athletic build. He planned for others to fail their tasks, creating contingency plans. He was delighted at the opportunity to kill two Force-sensitives, Gier and Kaela.^[1]

Powers and abilities

As a former Jedi, the man was Force-sensitive and trained to wield the Force.^[2]

Equipment

The Inquisitor wielded a lightsaber with a crimson blade. During his confrontation with Kaela and Gier, he wore thick robes with a hood.^[1]

Behind the scenes

The inquisitor was mentioned in the opening story for Savage Spirits, a^[1] 2016^[6] roleplaying sourcebook for Fantasy Flight Games' Star Wars: Force and Destiny.^[1] The opening fiction was written by Tim Huckelberry,^[7] lead developer for the sourcebook.^[1]
