- "It's not safe. Even with Deva, it's just not safe, Mother. At the brunch for the visiting Hynestian queen, someone tried to poison me."
- ―Avon Starros, to Ghirra Starros
A Hynestian female member of the Hynestian royal family served as the queen of[1] the Colonies[2] planet Hynestia[3] during the High Republic Era.[1] Between 230 BBY and 228 BBY,[4] the queen visited the compound of the Nihil pirates on[1] the Outer Rim planet[5] Hetzal Prime for a brunch. During the event, an unsuccessful attempt to poison the scientist Avon Starros took place.[1] In 228 BBY,[4] Avon recalled the attempt to poison her during the queen's visit when she tried to convince her mother Ghirra that staying at the compound was not safe for her.[1]
Behind the scenes
The Hynestian queen was mentioned in the 2024 young-adult novel The High Republic: Defy the Storm, written by Tessa Gratton and Justina Ireland as part of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project's[1] Phase III.[6] Within the novel, the queen was mentioned within a chapter written by Ireland.[7]

As Star Wars: The High Republic Character Encyclopedia dates the Occlusion Zone's formation to 230 BBY, the queen must have visited between 230 BBY and 228 BBY.
