An individual served as a senator in the Galactic Senate of the Galactic Republic during the High Republic Era.[1] By 382 BBY,[2] the senator had fallen in love with a member of the Jedi Order. Eventually, the romance became known and was reported on the holonet as one of the newest romances, which noted that the Jedi had become torn between his allegiance to the Jedi Order and the love of his life.[1] That year,[2] while traveling to the planet Thelj for a mission, the Evereni Path of the Open Hand cult member Yana Ro read about the senator and Jedi's romance. Ro considered it to be a bit far-fetched but mentally noted it was a good way to pass the time while in hyperspace.[1]

The Galactic Republic senator was mentioned in the 2022 young-adult novel The High Republic: Path of Deceit, written by Justina Ireland and Tessa Gratton as part of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project's[1] Phase II.[3] Within the novel, the senator was mentioned in a chapter written by Ireland.[4]
