A First Order sentry droid was stationed on the First Order's Station Theta Black, a mining space station. It encountered Resistance members Poe Dameron and Kazuda Xiono in 34 ABY, resulting in its destruction.
History
- "Uh, what is that? I thought there weren't any active droids here."
"That one looks pretty active." - ―Kazuda Xiono and Poe Dameron
Manufactured by Rebaxan Columni,[2] the sentry droid served the First Order aboard the mining space station Station Theta Black.[3] In 34 ABY,[1] Resistance operatives Poe Dameron and Kazuda Xiono were sent to investigate a potential First Order outpost, Station Theta Black. As the two approached the station in their T-70 X-wing starfighters, Dameron and his droid CB-23 confirmed there were no active life signs or droids aboard the mining station.[5]
The sentry droid unfolded to attack Poe Dameron and Kazuda Xiono.
Dameron made the decision to explore the mining station, with Xiono and BB-8, their droid companion, joining him as CB-23 hid their X-wing starfighters. The group explored Station Theta Black in search of a computer to access the station's records. BB-8 discovered the seemingly inactive sentry droid while Xiono found a nearby console. As BB-8 and Xiono worked together to determine the station's purpose,[5] the sentry droid was activated by the presence of the Resistance members.[7]
Characteristics

As a fourth class droid,[8] the security droid[2] patrolled Station Theta Black.[7] It stood at 1.5 meters, or 4 feet and 11 inches tall, when fully extended.[4] The droid had white plating, with black and gray colored interior sections, that were exposed when the droid extended its body.[5]
Behind the scenes
The sentry droid first appeared "Station Theta Black,"[5] the eleventh episode of the first season of the animated television series Star Wars Resistance, which aired on December 9, 2018.[9] JP Balmet,[10] senior concept designer for the episode,[5] created concept art for the droid on June 6, 2017.[10]
