- "Is this the console controlling the thrusters that keep this space station orbiting just outside the event horizon?"
"Yes, we are quite proud of this engineering marvel. One that affords clients a spectacularly close view of one of the galaxy's rarest sights…while keeping them safe being sucked into oblivion." - ―4-LOM and the EV-series supervisor droid
An EV-series supervisor droid worked in the engineering chamber aboard the Accretion Disco space station.[2] Between 3 ABY and 4 ABY,[1] after Tasu Leech killed the Pyke Syndicate gangster Omel Sampak, the Pykes attempted to kill Leech and the rest of his crew,[2] who had been hired to protect Sampak as he celebrated a victory over a rival.[3] Realizing that the crew were outnumbered by the Pykes, the LOM-series protocol droid 4-LOM made his way to the engineering chamber to sabotage the station and send it into the Crseih Black Hole that the Accretion Disco orbited. After 4-LOM arrived at the chamber, the EV droid demanded 4-LOM stop as unauthorized personnel were not permitted in. 4-LOM then asked the droid if the console it stood over controlled the thrusters that kept the Accretion Disco outside the event horizon of the black hole, to which the EV droid responded that it was, and added that the crew were proud as it allowed clients a close view of one of the galaxy's rarest views, whilst keeping them safe. 4-LOM then picked up the droid and smashed it into the console, which turned off the thrusters and sent the station into the event horizon of the Crseih Black Hole.[2]
