A prestigious newsnet operated on[1] the Core Worlds planet[2] Coruscant during the Republic Era.[1] By 28 BBY,[3] the newsnet employed the holojournalist Kooib-s Guvar, though she also worked for a less reputable tabloid on the side to earn extra credits. While working for the newsnet, Guvar was able to maintain access to exclusive stories and events.[1] In 28 BBY,[3] the handmaiden Sabé—who was working for Senator Padmé Amidala—began working with Guvar to learn more about the Galactic Senate and thought about the holojournalist's affiliation with the newsnet while the pair met in the restaurant Dex's Diner on Coruscant.[1]
