«What about the fish?»
―The Clarr delegate, to Thurfian[1]

A Chiss male individual served as a delegate of the Chiss Ascendancy's Clarr family.[1] In 18 BBY,[2] he, along with a delegate of the Obbic family, complained to Mitth family Syndic Mitth'urf'ianico, core name "Thurfian," about the Universal Analysis Group—an organization that studied and collected alien artifacts brought to the Ascendancy—and their effect on the planet Sposia, where the delegates and the UAG were based. While the Obbic delegate complained about the UAG, the Clarr insisted that the group's operations were killing the planet's fish. Thurfian assured the two delegates that the UAG had operated under the patronage of the Stybla family for decades without any trouble and that the decrease in fish population was most likely due to overfishing or poachers.[1]

Behind the scenes

The delegate appeared in the 2021 novel Thrawn Ascendancy: Greater Good, the second installment of Timothy Zahn's Star Wars: The Ascendancy Trilogy.[1]
