The Universal Analysis Group, or UAG, was an organization within the Chiss Ascendancy. Based on Sposia, the UAG served as a clearinghouse for alien artifacts and technology, collecting and studying such items. It distributed many of its historical pieces to art collections or museums, while technological items were investigated to determine if they could be any use to the Ascendancy. Though most technology was either damaged or incomplete and was either catalogued for storage or destroyed, complete items were taken to be studied by scientists. Vault Four was a vault of the UAG where items of military value were taken.[1]
