"Get out of the way! All of you. I'm having a serious malfunction."
―The droid, as Yoda turns him against his squad[2]

A B2 super battle droid served in the droid army of the Confederacy of Independent Systems during the Clone Wars. The B2-series super battle droid, among many others, were dispatched in an army commanded by the Sith apprentice Asajj Ventress. Ventress was accompanied by the army on the moon Rugosa, where she hoped to convince King Katuunko of Toydaria to side with the Confederacy rather than the Galactic Republic, who themselves had sent forces led by Jedi Master Yoda.[2]

Ventress proposed a challenge between herself and Yoda, so that Katuunko could side with the victor. Once Yoda agreed, Sith assassin sent her forces of battle droids to hunt down the Jedi and his three clone troopers. The B2 super battle droid's squad injured the trooper CC-4477 "Thire," but Yoda intervened, using the Force to turn the battle droid's weapons against the other droids. The confused droid believed it was having a malfunction, and as the Jedi and clones retreated, the battle droid was shot down by his own squad.[2]
