An Advanced Recon Commando was a clone trooper who, along with several others, was given experimental Phase II clone trooper armor. The commando's armor had red markings.

The ARC trooper first appeared in "Clone Cadets,"[3] the first episode of Star Wars: The Clone Wars' third season, which premiered on September 17, 2010 on Cartoon Network.[4]
