An ultrasonic vocabulator[1] was a custom vocabulator[2] that synthesized a voice.[3] General Grievous spoke through an ultrasonic vocabulator,[2] which strengthened his harsh, forceful voice,[4] and nearly identically matched his original voice.[2] Grievous's vocabulator was located behind his cybernetic faceplate's duranium teeth,[4] sitting where his teeth would have been[5] if he still had a mouth.[6]
