Uedan conifer wood was a type of brown wood harvested from the durable and valuable Ueda conifer trees found on the northern archipelagos of the Outer Rim planet Ueda, a world of forested island chains. Ueda was at one time the site of a lucrative logging and milling operation focused on the trees, and marauders would strike Ueda for the processed materials.[1]
By 132 BBY[2] during the High Republic Era, the operation had ceased.[1] In that year,[2] the Wrosidians Bihun and Basko[1] used[3] chopsticks made from Uedan conifer wood[1] while eating bowls of noodles in[3] the Lomi Usqi Noodle Shop in Point Ueda, the capital of Ueda.[1]
Behind the scenes
Uedan conifer wood appeared in "Lost / Found,"[3] the first episode of the live-action television series Star Wars: The Acolyte, which aired on Disney+ on June 4, 2024.[4] The wood was first identified in the 2025 reference book Star Wars: The Acolyte: The Visual Guide, which was written by Pablo Hidalgo.[1]
