Typhoon Squadron was a squadron of T-65B X-wing starfighters that flew for Alliance to Restore the Republic and later for the New Republic's Starfighter Corps. The pilots of the squadron were specialists that were not afraid of uncomfortable encounters with the Galactic Empire. The unit's starfighters were painted in yellow and green colors.[1]

In 3 ABY, while working with the Rodian Gedeek Obaz on Akiva to sabotage the Empire's development of advanced Viper probe droids, Typhoon Squadron aided Gedeek and his allies in infiltrating Kassina Outpost to sabotage the project, assaulting the facility and escaping with several Vipers reprogrammed by Gedeek.[2]

Behind the scenes

The colors of Typhoon Squadron were added as a customizable cosmetic appearance for players in update 3.0 to the video game Star Wars: Squadrons[3] on November 25, 2020.[4]
