The Typhon's Rock was a rock mound in the Lost Steppe region on the moon Toshara.[1] Prior to 3 ABY,[2] a copy of Jet Kordo's journal entry about Toshara was left near the mountain. In an inner cavern inside the mountain, a group of pirates placed a BT-009S fastshot trigger in a container in a small camp behind an energy shield. A small driftwood carving depicting an ancient hunt was placed in a different container in the camp.[1] The rogue merchant Shuma would land her merchant ship on the side of a cliff at Typhon's Rock during 3 ABY.[2]

During 3 ABY,[2] the scoundrel Kay Vess visited Typhon's Rock and retieved Jet Kordo's journey entry. She would also find her way into the inner cavern of the mountain by blasting open a section of rock to get behind the energy shield where she could retrieve the fastshot trigger and the carving.[1]

Behind the scenes

Typhon's Rock appeared in the 2024 Massive Entertainment video game, Star Wars Outlaws. The location was one of the areas in the game only accessible after the player gets the Power upgrade. The BT-009S Fastshot Trigger was a required part to unlock the damage upgrade for the light configuration of the player's blaster. The ancient hunter carving found at the rock can be used as a major charm which increases the adrenaline the player gains.[1]
