Tursturin was a material that was used by the Helthen Company to make the thermo-converters used by Cloud City on the planet Bespin, devices capable of turning more than five thousand degrees of heat into billions of kilojoules of energy.[1]
Behind the scenes
In the current Star Wars canon, tursturin was mentioned in "Bespin and Other Planets in the Outer Rim," an entry in De Agostini's Star Wars Encyclopedia series[1] that was originally released on September 21, 2021.[2] The material originated in the Star Wars Legends continuity, where it was first mentioned in a portion of the 1989 roleplaying supplement Galaxy Guide 2: Yavin and Bespin written by Christopher Kubasik. The book was published by West End Games as part of Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game.[3]
