The Helthen Company was a manufacturer that produced the tursturin thermo-converters used to turn more than five thousand degrees of heat into billions of kilojoules of energy in Cloud City on the planet Bespin.[1]

Behind the scenes

In the current Star Wars canon, the Helthen Company was mentioned in "Bespin and Other Planets in the Outer Rim," an entry in De Agostini's Star Wars Encyclopedia series[1] that was originally released on September 21, 2021.[2] The company originated in the Star Wars Legends continuity, where it was first mentioned as "Helthen Co." in a portion of the 1989 roleplaying supplement Galaxy Guide 2: Yavin and Bespin written by Christopher Kubasik. The book was published by West End Games as part of Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game.[3] The full name of Helthen Company was then used in an entry in 2008 in The Complete Star Wars Encyclopedia.[4]
