This species was a sentient species that existed in the galaxy.[1]
Biology and appearance
This bipedal sentient species[1] was distinguished by their masks known as Mazanti face coverings.[2]
Species in the galaxy
In 1 BBY,[3] at least two members of this species, including Tunda Ress, were present in Jedha City on the moon Jedha shortly before the Galactic Empire destroyed the city in order to test the capabilities of their Death Star superweapon.[1]

Tunda Ress' species first appeared in the 2016 Anthology film Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, directed by Gareth Edwards.[1] This species was designed by concept artist Adam Brockbank, and concept art for it was titled Jedha Alien G0021.[4] The "Wild Card DLC" of the 2024 video game Star Wars Outlaws establishes that Humans are also capable of wearing Mazanti face coverings,[2] making subsequent appearances difficult to identify.[5] A 2018 card for Topps' Star Wars: Card Trader mobile application features two members of this species, titled "Chrome Faces – Rogue One – Shadow Portraits," referring to them both as "Chrome Faces."[6]
