The Tularan Marsh was a swamp on Taris that formed at the site of several abandoned swoop tracks. By 3643 BBY, the region had become a swamp, and the area was home to k'lor'slugs, nexu, ferrazid hounds, and bogwings. The Republic restoration effort set up two research stations near the marsh, and pirates had a camp south of it.
During the Cold War, a traveling hero ventured into the eastern end of the marsh to help Tarkos Sund recover the prototype accelerator used by Revan to beat Brejik in a swoop race.
Following the Sith Empire's Invasion of Taris, the Tularan Marsh became one of the last areas on the planet where Republic defenders, led by Major Kamden, offered organized, although ultimately futile, resistance to the invaders.[2]
