This species was distinguished by their hunched postures, large, three-clawed hands, elongated necks, large yellow eyes, dark pink skin, and large moustaches.[1]

In 34 ABY,[2] a member of this species, Trypto Buball, was present at Canto Casino and Racetrack on the planet Cantonica.[1]

The species made their debut in the 2017 film Star Wars: Episode VIII The Last Jedi, directed by Rian Johnson.[1] They were originally designed by creature concept designer Jake Lunt Davies.[3]
