- "Knew I shouldn't have swung at that goon, but the urge to dazzle that Trianii debutante was too strong."
- ―Lando Calrissian
The Trianii were a species of bipedal felinoid sentients[1] from the Trian system.[2] In an attempt to impress a Trianii debutante, Lando Calrissian once took a swing at the Esoomian brawler Bumblethunk, who beat him down and stole the Smuggler's Guide from him.[3]
Behind the scenes
The Trianii were created by Brian Daley for his novel Han Solo at Stars' End (1979). James Luceno canonized them when he included one in Catalyst: A Rogue One Novel (2016).
One Trianii was present in Weacoe city sometime before the Battle of Scarif in Rogue One - Cassian & K-2SO Special 1, which marked their first visual canon appearance in canon.[4] However, these events were later contradicted by Andor Season 2's telling of how the rebel Cassian Jeron Andor met the droid K-2SO.[5][6]

(backup link) (screenshot) Jason Fry, co-author of The Essential Atlas and a number of maps in the current Star Wars canon (see a list here), stated his intention to create homeworlds for numerous species based on context implied from their names. This article treats the Trian system as the location of one such homeworld with regard to the Trianii species.
