Trapper's Field was an area in the debris field of Kinro, a destroyed comet, which orbited Akiva, a planet in the Outer Rim Territories. During the Clone Wars Trapper's Field was home to a Confederacy of Independent Systems communication satellite.[1] By 3 ABY,[2] communication satellite had been destroyed and the wreckage remained in the field. The communication array was still functional enough to send a signal but five communication jammers had been placed around it.[1]
During 3 ABY,[2] Kay Vess and ND-5 visited the wreckage of the array in order to fulfill a request for help from MT-7, a broken BX-series droid commando, that they meet in the ruins of an outpost on Akiva. Upon discovering the comm jammers they were attacked by a number of pirate flying JLF-19 Junkros Fighters. They were ultimately able to destroy the jammers and send MT-7's final report even though there wasn't a Confederacy of Independent Systems left to receive it.[1]
During the same year, Vess salvaged a X-FP-C28 ship computer from a cargo crate in Trapper's field.[1]
Behind the scenes
Trapper's Field appeared as a labeled area in the Akiva orbit map in the 2024 video game, Star Wars Outlaws which was developed by Massive Entertainment and published by Ubisoft. It was also part of the "Veteran" expert quest.[1]
