The Transel system was situated in the Southern Core portion of the Colonies. It lay on the Shipwrights' Trace hyperlane, which linked it to the Bassadro, Fondor, and Surric systems.[1] The system contained the obscure, backwater terrestrial planet Transel,[2] which was a member of the Galactic Republic[3] by 3956 BBY.[4] At some point during the 3959 BBY–3956 BBY Jedi Civil War, the military forces of the empire founded by the Sith Lord Darth Revan passed through the Transel system while advancing from the Fondor system to the Surric system.[1]

Behind the scenes

The Transel system was first mentioned in the 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas by Daniel Wallace and Jason Fry, which placed it in grid square L-13.[1]
