Trandoshan funk was a genre of music that shared its name with the[1] reptillian Trandoshan species.[2] In 9 BBY,[3] the crew of the luxury yacht Stinger Mantis traveled to the Outer Rim Territories planet Koboh from the planet Tanalorr. After the young recruit Kata Akuna noted that it was her first time on the planet, the Jedi Knight Cal Kestis stated that they would be staying at pilot Greez Dritus's cantina, Pyloon's Saloon. After a fellow crew member, the Nightsister Merrin, confirmed that the cantina's musicians took requests, Akuna wondered whether they had Trandoshan funk, which she claimed was her favorite genre of music.[1]

Trandoshan funk was first mentioned in the 2023 video game Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, developed by Respawn Entertainment.[1]
