Crystal guard

Crystal guards were a part of the Umbaran commandos and were responsible for guarding and transporting crystals on the planet Umbara.[1] In 3629 BBY,[2] a crystal guard squad was attacked by the Eternal Alliance while transporting crystals on a train.[1]

Crystal guards first appeared in[1] the short story "Trading Scars" written by Samantha Wallschlaeger[3] and published in the developer blog for Star Wars: The Old Republic on August 17, 2017.[1]
