A tool demagnitizer was a type of bronze-colored, disc-shaped rack for micro-tools mounted on a similarly colored circular base plate. Four copper-colored wire coils then extended up from the rack.[1] The enslaved Human Anakin Skywalker used a tabletop tool demagnitizer that also doubled as a tool rack for small instruments, as he was required to do delicate work with precision tools when restoring machinery.[3] The device sat in a wall alcove opposite the workstation of Skywalker's mother, Shmi Skywalker, in the Skywalker home[2] on Slave Quarters Row in the city of Mos Espa[1] on the planet Tatooine. It was left on the shelf when Anakin packed his belongings and said farewell to his mother before leaving Tatooine[2] in 32 BBY.[4]
