Tooke-trap plants were a species of carnivorous plant that were native to Naboo. They were grown by Gungan Greenthumb, four of whom were smuggled to Jakku by the request of Granny Greenthumb. The First Order was made aware of this, and attempted to stop the plants from growing but was unsuccessful.[1]

Biology

Tooke-trap plants were grown from seeds which would sprout into four-leafed seedlings. Fully grown tooke-trap plants possessed a long stalk with a "mouth" on the end, that protruded from a bush that contained eight leaves. They would occasionally hiss.[1]

Behind the scenes

Tooke-trap plants were first introduced in the Legends video game Star Wars Episode I: The Gungan Frontier. In the current Star Wars continuity, Tooke-trap plants first appeared in the 2022 non-canon video game LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, published by TT Games.[1]
